About The Aloha Medical Mission Dental Clinic
For more than 20 years, the Aloha Medical Mission Dental Clinic (AMMDC) has provided compassionate, community-based dental care to families who need it most. Now under the umbrella of Project Vision Hawaiʻi (PVH), the clinic continues its mission with expanded support, stronger sustainability, and a renewed commitment to health equity across Hawaiʻi.
Together, PVH and AMMDC are dedicated to ensuring that every person—regardless of income, circumstance, or background—has access to quality, life-changing dental care.
Our Mission
To restore health, dignity, and confidence through accessible, high-quality dental care for Hawaiʻi residents who are uninsured, underinsured, or facing significant barriers to care.
Through PVH’s statewide infrastructure and mobile health expertise, the clinic is now able to reach more individuals, deepen services, and create greater impact.

Who Qualifies for Free or Low-Cost Services?
We believe everyone deserves a healthy smile. Services are provided at no cost or reduced cost for patients who meet one or more of the following:
✔ Individuals without dental insurance
Uninsured adults and families receive full access to our clinic at no cost.
✔ Underinsured individuals
Patients with limited coverage or high out-of-pocket costs may qualify for subsidized services.
✔ Medicaid/Quest patients
While PVH bills Medicaid when appropriate, patients will never receive a bill.
✔ Low-income households
Eligibility is based on household income (typically 150% of the federal poverty level or below). Our team can help verify income if needed.
✔ Reentry, domestic violence, and transitional housing program participants
Partner agencies may directly refer clients to ensure immediate access to care.
✔ Individuals experiencing homelessness or housing instability
No documentation required.
No one is turned away for inability to pay.
Our goal is to remove barriers—not create new ones. If someone needs care, we help them receive it.

Why This Clinic Matters
Dental care is often one of the most neglected health needs in Hawaiʻi due to cost, access challenges, and insurance limitations. Untreated dental pain affects the ability to work, sleep, eat, care for children, and fully participate in daily life.
By bringing AMMDC under PVH’s umbrella, we are:
Expanding clinic operations and staffing
Increasing mobile dental outreach statewide
Securing long-term sustainability through medical billing
Strengthening partnerships with shelters, schools, and social service providers
Providing life-changing care to those who need it most
